Day 86 – 12th November
Posted by TravellingStrom on November 12, 2008
Despite the late night we still managed to get up reasonably early. We did not have any supplies on board so today was shopping and stow away day. We did a run into town as we needed to buy a different mounting bracket for the BBQ, also food, cleaning things etc.
We then took the boat to be fuelled up and brought it back to the mooring berth finger where we tied up and started sorting things out.
After that it was laze around for a while and have a beer or two. 🙂
When Al went to get the other guests me and Des just lazed around until he went up to the yacht club to buy another slab. We had seen the WAGS early on heading out for a race(Wednesday Afternoon Gentlemen Sailors) and now we could hear the cheering as the winners were announced. Des had a few beers and was surprised when all the members who participated in the race went home without having a drink, unlike Cairns where they get stuck in afterwards.
While he was doing that, I was doing this 🙂
I had no proper bait so just used a bit of meat, hoping to get a shit fish to cut up, but it did not happen.
The rest arrived quite late, nearly 9pm but it was a 2 hour drive to the airport, so I met the extras and we shared some beer and wine until late. We were set for a sail tomorrow.
Day – 0km
Trip – 27,681km
