Day 402 – 14th January 2010

Posted by TravellingStrom on January 14, 2010

Thursday – Santiago, Chile

Well it was off down the shop just before 9am and trying to navigate to a GPS location via a heap of one way streets is fun, NOT! But, we eventually got there, by we, I meant Dave followed me there as he also needed some work done on his bike as well. Once there I spent about an hour doing a few things that could be done myself, before leaving the hard yakka to the lads 🙂

Just as we were leaving Jim turned up, he is the Canadian I met on the boat across from Panama, I was glad to leave as he started bellowing instructions, he needs to lighten up! We took a cab back and from then on it was work work work on the blog as I am way behind and there were some interesting posts to be done 🙂 Later in the evening after hearing nothing back from the bike shop, it was off for a few beers and a feed down at the cafe. Here I met some locals including the off duty barmaid and the adopted dog 🙂 The dog was wandering around so the bar put some money together, got it sorted out down at the vets and cleaned up etc and was fed occasionally, a very nice dog, but I cannot have it 🙂

This is Me , Cote, Sebastian, Phillipe, Giselle, Alejandro

Another lazy evening with a bit more work and a few more beers 🙂

Day – 0 miles and 0 km
Trip – 49,884 miles and 80,281 km

Man what an adventure! Your at the Dakar, watching it live…. I’m with you in spirit or better yet drinking spirits!
Glad to see that you helped the dog.
    Cheers

    HEY!!!! Canadians don’t BELLOW.

They just emphasize their intentions with verve and vigour.

I seem to recall an Aussy banging his toast on the table trying to get better service, recently.

    😉
